Apply Holistic Care With a Patient-Centered Approach

The George Washington University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) Integrative Medicine programs prepare you to offer a holistic approach to health care practice that places the patient at the center by considering their unique physical, mental and social circumstances.

Whether you pursue our Master of Science in Health Science (MSHS) degree in Integrative Medicine or the Graduate Certificate in Integrative Medicine, you'll graduate well-versed in the core competencies of evidence-based practice.

Licensed physicians can complete an additional hands-on fellowship and prepare for practice with supervised clinical training that supports your preparation to become board certified in integrative medicine.

“During the program, I had the opportunity to take Clinical applications of Integrative Medicine taught by Dr. Heyman whom I consider one of the best in this field. His approach to health and wellness using the metabolic code triads is life-changing for several diseases and something that I truly encourage every physician or medical professional to incorporate into their practice.”
